The 2024–25 Colorado Avalanche season was the 46th season for the Avalanche as the National Hockey League (NHL) franchise that joined the league in 1979, and their 29th playing season since the franchise relocated from Quebec City prior to the start of the 1995–96 NHL season.[1]
On October 16, 2024, after a 5–3 loss at home against the Boston Bruins, the Avalanche lost their first four games for the first time since 1998–99.
