Clubiona subtrivialis is a species of spider in the family Clubionidae. It is an African endemic species originally described from Ethiopia and known from five African countries including East Africa and South Africa.[2]

Distribution
In South Africa, Clubiona subtrivialis is recorded from two provinces at elevations ranging from 864 to 1186 metres. It has been found in KwaZulu-Natal and Limpopo.[3]
Habitat
The species is a free-living plant dweller found in the Grassland and Savanna biomes. It inhabits areas with diverse vegetation where it can construct its sac-like retreats.[3]
Description
Clubiona subtrivialis exhibits the typical characteristics of the genus, with both males and females known to science. The species displays the characteristic pale coloration typical of sac spiders.[3]
Conservation
The species is listed as Least Concern due to its wide global distribution range and the fact that it is not suspected to be declining. It is protected in Ben Lavin Nature Reserve and Ngome State Forest.[3]
