Premise

Every five years on Halloween, the wealthiest families in the United States play a game in which twelve of the deadliest people in the world must kill each other to survive. This time, the game is set Oak Valley, Maine, where the citizens must survive these killers during the night.

Publication history

Exquisite Corpses is a comic book series created by James Tynion IV and Michael Walsh, which will be published by Image Comics through Tiny Onion, Tynion's own company, on May 14, 2025.^[1] It was originally announced on October 2024 as Project Exquisite.^[2] Among the crew of artists involved, there are Adam Gorham, Becca Carey, Che Grayson, Claire Roe, Gavin Fullerton, Jordie Bellaire, Marianna Ignazzi, Pornsak Pichetshote, Tyler Boss, and Valentine De Landro.^[3]

Tynion also expects Exquisite Corpses to be part of a larger franchise as a response to Skybound/Hasbro's Energon Universe.^[2]

Reception

The comic book received mostly positive reviews from critics.^[4][5]
