FPT Software Company Limited (Vietnamese: Công ty Trách nhiệm Hữu hạn Phần mềm FPT) is a global IT services provider headquartered in Hanoi, Vietnam. It is a primary subsidiary of FPT Corporation. As of 2024, the company reported US$2.47 billion in revenue and more than 54,000 employees in over 30 countries.

Prior to FPT Software being founded as a subsidiary of FPT Corporation, the parent company was active in the IT sector, partnering with computer hardware and software manufacturers and to supply their products into Vietnam, and to develop and support projects such as a Reservation and Booking system for Vietnam Airlines. In 1997, the company recognised the growing importance of the internet and was involved in providing infrastructure and equipment before becoming an ISP. In 1999, the company formed a specialist software subsidiary led by 13 members of FPT Group, including Nguyen Thanh Nam who was the CEO and later the Chairman of FPT Software before eventually becoming the CEO of FPT Corporation.

The following are key milestones in the expansion of FPT Software:

  • 2005 to 2007: FPT Software opened its first overseas branch in Japan, and in 2007 opened an office in Singapore.
  • 2008 to 2012: Began operations in France and in 2012 opened its first office in Germany. Reported over US$42 million in revenues with 2,700 employees.[1]
  • 2013: Recognised as the second largest IT company operating in Vietnam with over US$100 million in revenue and 6,000 employees.[2]
  • 2014: Acquired RWE IT Slovakia, becoming the first Vietnamese IT company to conduct an overseas merger and acquisition.[3]
  • 2016: FPT Korea was established as a subsidiary of FPT Japan with FPT Japan becoming FPT Software's first overseas branch to surpass US$100 million in revenue. FPT Software reached US$200 million of revenue and 10,000 employees.[4]
  • 2018: FPT bought a majority stake in Intellinet, a US-based consulting firm,[5] and was listed among top 40 IT companies in Japan.
  • 2021: FPT reached US$500 million in revenue, with 50% growth in the US market, and during the pandemic the company continued its global office expansion and maintained growth in revenue and profits.
  • 2022: FPT Software reported revenue over US$800 million, marking the third consecutive year of revenue growth above 25%. The company began working with customers generating over US$100 million in annual revenue and opened its 10th U.S. office in New York City. The company was also included in a research report by Forrester as one of the most significant IoT consultancies in the Asia-Pacific region.[6][7]
  • 2023: FPT Software conducted mergers, acquisitions and investments in the United States and Europe, and joined the AI Alliance. The company was named a Regional Strategic Services Partner by SAP in the Asia Pacific and Japan region. In December FPT Automotive, a unit focused on software-defined vehicles, was established. In the same year, FPT Software reported over US$1 billion in revenue from global IT services.[8]
  • 2024: the company reported revenue of US$2.47 billion and profit before tax of US$434.57 million. It received a Silver Rating from EcoVadis for its sustainability practices and was deemed as a Great Place to Work® in multiple countries. The same year FPT Corporation established 2 AI Factories in Vietnam and Japan, leveraging NVIDIA's advanced GPU technology.
  • 2025: FPT received the EcoVadis Silver Rating for Sustainability Excellence through its Japanese subsidiary, and received the SAP APJ Partner Excellence Award 2025 for Regional Strategic Services Partner. FPT and Chelsea Football Club announced a strategic global partnership, in which FPT will provide AI-driven and digital solutions to support Chelsea’s operations and fan engagement.
