G-protein coupled receptor 161 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the GPR161 gene.[5][6] It is located on primary cilia and regulates embryonic development through suppression of the hedgehog signaling pathway. It appears to act as a mechanoreceptor and may not require an endogenous ligand for activation.[7][8][9][10]
