Notes

  1. After two trials, Crimmins was convicted of the manslaughter of Missy and the murder of Eddie Jr. Her conviction was overturned on appeal two years later and she was convicted of Missy's manslaughter, but not Eddie's murder, which was believed to have happened at a different time and place.
  2. Police and prosecutors claimed that Parker and Price were responsible based on a confession from Parker which implicated the two men; however, both died before they could stand trial for the crime, leaving the case unresolved
  3. Hampton claimed Lee and him committed the murders, which Lee denied. Little evidence beyond the confession of Hampton indicated Lee's involvement, and Lee was acquitted of the murders, later suing the Police Department for malicious prosecution.
  4. Smith was convicted of conspiring to commit the abduction and murder in 1986, but his conviction was overturned in 1992 due to judicial and prosecutorial misconduct.
  5. Williams was only convicted of the murders of two adults from the time period but is officially considered responsible for around 24 of the murders linked to the case.
