The following list contains the most-streamed artists on the audio streaming platform Spotify. As of February 2024, American singer-songwriter Taylor Swift is the most-streamed artist,^[2] and Canadian rapper Drake is the most-streamed male artist in Spotify's history.^[a] Since 2012, Spotify has published a yearly list of its most-streamed artists, which has been topped by Drake and Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny a record three times, with Bad Bunny being the only artist to do so in consecutive years (2020–2022). Swift is the only female artist to have topped the list (2023–2024).

American singer-songwriter Taylor Swift is the most-streamed artist in Spotify's history.

Canadian rapper Drake is the most-streamed male artist in Spotify's history.

South Korean boy band BTS is the most-streamed group in Spotify's history.^[1]

Most monthly listeners

As of October 2025, Canadian singer-songwriter the Weeknd is the artist with the most monthly listeners. He was the first artist to surpass 100 million monthly listeners, while American singer-songwriter Taylor Swift was the first female artist and second overall.^[18] American singer-songwriter Billie Eilish was the third and youngest artist to achieve the feat.^[19] English singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran is the latest artist to surpass 100 million monthly listeners. American rapper Kendrick Lamar was the first rapper to both achieve the feat and surpass the 110 million mark. British band Coldplay holds the record for groups at 98 million monthly listeners and are the first in their category to reach the 60, 70, 80 and 90 million marks.^[20]

Cross-market chart presence

An external study by DataPulse Research, in collaboration with the piano learning app Skoove, analyzed Spotify's Top 200 weekly charts across 73 countries for 59 weeks (23 May 2024 – 10 July 2025). Using a points-based method that weighted weekly positions (No. 1 = 200 … No. 200 = 1) and credited all named artists on collaborations, the authors ranked artists by cross-market chart presence. This measure reflects frequency and breadth of appearances in national charts rather than lifetime streams or monthly listeners.^[71]
