This constituency includes Rengali block, Dhankauda block and 10 Gram panchayats (Gunderpur, Batemura, Bhikampur, Maneswar, Mathpali, Nuatihura, Parmanpur, Sindurpank, Tabala and Themra) of Maneswar block.^[2][3]

The constituency was formed in the 2008 Delimitation^[4] and went for polls in 2009 election.
