Tara Tatars are a sub-group of Siberian Tatars.[1] They are settled in Bolsherechensky, Znamensky, Muromtsevsky and Tarsky districts of Omsk Oblast.

They are divided into two local sub-groups:

  • Ayaly Tatars
  • Turalin Tatars.[2]

They speak Tara speach of Tobol-Irtysh dialect of Siberian Tatar language.[3]
