Ubaid Shah (Urdu: عبید شاہ, Pashto: عبید شاہ; born 5 February 2006), also spelled as Obaid Shah, is a Pakistani cricketer who is a right arm medium fast bowler for Multan Sultans and the Pakistan under-19 cricket team.

Early life

The younger brother of cricketers Hunain Shah and Naseem Shah,[1][2] Ubaid was brought up in the Jandol Mayar area of the Lower Dir district of Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa region. His family moved to Lahore in 2018, when his older brother Salim started a gemstone business.[3]

Domestic career

He plays in the Pakistan Super League for Islamabad United.[4][5] He made his debut against Lahore Qalandars on 17 February 2024.[6]

International career

Under-19

He played for the Pakistan U19 which reached the semi-finals at the 2024 Under-19 Cricket World Cup in South Africa.[7][8] He was named in the ICC team of the tournament after picking up 18 wickets with an average of less than 14 runs per wicket.[9]
