Etymology

According to 11th-century CE writer Ouyang Xiu, the surname originated with 4th-century BCE Prince () of Yue, who settled on the southern face ( (yáng)) of 歐餘山欧余山 (Ōuyúshān, “mountain in Huzhou”).
