Cognate with Old Turkic [script needed] (teŋ, equal, equivalent, appropriate), Kazakh тең (teñ, equal), Uzbek teng (equal), Bashkir тиң (tiñ, equal), Yakut тэҥ (teŋ, equal), Uyghur تەڭ (teng, equal).
