hermachen (weak, third-person singular present macht her, past tense machte her, past participle hergemacht, auxiliary haben)
- (colloquial) to make a (specified) impression [with viel ‘good’ or wenig ‘so-so’ or nichts ‘bad’]
- (reflexive, figurative) to get busy with, to tackle, to deal with, to pounce on [with über (+ accusative) ‘an activity, etc.’]
- (reflexive) to attack, to lay into [with über (+ accusative) ‘someone’]
