Cognate with Olukumi ẹ́ghó, Nupe ewó, Edo ígho, Urhobo ígho and Isoko ugho. See Yoruba dialectal forms for other cognates. Proposed to be reconstructed to Proto-Yoruboid *V́-ɣó, and perhaps a doublet of hóró and wóró.
