- (intransitive) to make juice

- (intransitive) to exude juice or another liquid
- Der weiche Untergrund unter unseren Füßen saftete mehr und mehr.

- (intransitive) to be or become full of sap
- Im Frühling saften die Bäume, allen voran die Birken.
- In spring the trees are full of sap, especially the birches.
- (intransitive, informal) to make inappropriate comments
