From New Latin ūrachus, from Ancient Greek οὐραχός (ourakhós).

urachus (plural urachi or urachuses)
- (anatomy) A band of fibrous tissue extending from the bladder to the umbilicus.
- 2003, Douglas H. Slatter, Textbook of Small Animal Surgery, volume 1, page 1631:
- A persistent urachus exists if the entire urachal tube remains patent between the bladder and umbilicus.
