I'm not like other trolls. I'm different, you know, I like beautiful things! like flowers.

[repeated lines] Hang on, Rosie! Hang on!
Stop saying that! He can't be a troll, because there's no such thing...as...trolls. Uh oh, talking flowers! This is weird. Come on, Rosie; we've gotta go home.
You know what, Stanley? You'll never have a dream come true, and you know why? Because you just too scared to fight for what you believed in. You're a coward!

Trolls

[Sentry] Oh, for a minute, I thought I saw one of them, um, um, uh, flower things. That's a relief. I'd sure hate to have to tell the queen. Oh, well, have a rotten day! [walks off, singing] I'm a bad troll, a very bad troll...
[Patrol Captain] You did this? Right under the queen's nose? And for your crime, you'll be going before the number-one flower-hater in the land: Gnorga!

Dialogue

Llort: Stanley, for repeatedly;–– repeatedly…

Gnorga: Disobeying.

Llort: I am getting there, dear! And… and violating the Code of Proper Troll Behavior… we have;–– no choice, but to sentence you to…

Gnorga: Stone.

Llort: "Stone"?!

Gnorga: Turn 'im to stone! [to her tortoise mount] Be still! [turns it to stone with a touch]

Llort: But;– but;– but with our number dwindling dearly… yearly… dearie, d'you really think it wise to turn him to st… st… st…?

Gnorga: He is good, he is kind, he is gentle… and he is giving a bad name to trolls everywhere! I won't have him growing any more of those things!

Llort: Flowers?

Gnorga: Curse him!

Llort: Why don't we make an example of him? I know a place, rock and steel, where nothing grows… nothing! Creatures more troll-like, than we are! For him, it'll be worse than stone; it will be slow, it will be painful… just think what they'll say about you in the newspapers! It's prime, for the tabloids!

Gnorga: Done!

Gus: Ready to go, Dad?

Alan: Finally.

Gus: Great!

Alan: You're not coming.

Hillary: Your father's off to a meeting, Honey.

Gus: But you promised to take to the park!

Alan: You know I have an important case to prepare for. The park have to come later.

Gnorga: [reading from the newspaper] "Gnorga and Llort… laughingstock… bad trolls turning good at record pace…" Have you seen this?!

Llort: Seen what, sugar-shins?

Gnorga: These blasted editorials! They're calling for us to resign! They say our power's slipping! They say any troll anywhere might be turning "good"… can you think of it? I can't think of it. [trails off, grumbling].

Gnorga: "Worse than death"? "Slow and painful"? Does that look sad to you? Does that look like misery to you?

Llort: It's nice, very nice, don't you think so, dear?

Gnorga: Yes, and that's exactly what's wrong with it, you moron! Punishment isn't supposed to be nice! It's supposed to be… punishing!

Gus: She's here! She's got Rosie! You've got to help me get her back!

Stanley: No, no, no, I can't...

Gus: You're the only one who can help. You've got the green thumb.

Gnorga: Stanley! I've got the baby!

Stanley: Uh! Easy!

Gus: Stop being such a scaredy-cat!

Stanley: Yeah, but what can I do?

Gus: [snatches his boat from Stanley] What about all your powers, Mr. You-Gotta-Believe-Green-Thumb?

Stanley: Oh no, no, no! My prestidigitation is no match for Gnorga's magic...

Gus: [interrupts] Oh, sure! You're just saying that cause you're scared to fight her!

[the flowers gasp in shock]

Stanley: I can't. Oh, you know Gnorga. She'll destroy me! She'll marbleize me!

Gus: Well, I'm not scared!

Stanley: [the flowers leave Stanley behind and go with Gus] I help you if I could, but I can't. She'll turn me into stone and I don't wanna be rockinised. Gus! Don’t you understand? In the troll world, darkness always triumphs over light!

Gus: Know what, Stanley? You'll never have a dream come true. And you know why? Because you’re too scared to fight for what you believe in! YOU'RE A COWARD!

Alan: That's funny. I haven't seen him suck his thumb for years!

Hillary: Well, we have been pretty busy lately. Maybe he's feeling a little insecure.
