P2X7 ehk P2X7-retseptorid (ka P2X7R; varasem nimetus P2Z) on paljude loomade rakumembraani läbivad ioonkanalid ja rakkude sees toimivad valgud, millel on mitmeid funktsioone.
P2X7 loodusliku ligandi ja retseptorite avanemise regulaatorina toimib ATP.
Need retseptorid liigitatakse P2-retseptorite hulka P2X-retseptorite alatüübina.
Retseptorit on tuvastatud kesknärvisüsteemis[1] ja perifeerses närvisüsteemis, mikrogliia rakkudes, endomeetriumis ja võrkkestas.
P2X7 retseptorit ekspresseerivad immuunrakud, nagu leukotsüüdid, makrofaagid, ja tüümuse rakud – tümotsüüdid jm, ja põletikurakud.
Arvatakse, et selle pikemaajaline või korduv stimulatsioon ATPga võib viia mitteselektiivsete pooride tekkele rakumembraanis.
ATP stimulatsioonile järgneb Ca2+- ja Na+-ioonide sisenemine raku tsütoplasmasse ja K+-ioonide väljumine.[2]
Arvatakse, et P2X7 retseptorite aktivatsioon võib inimestel abiks olla mükobakterite perekond (bioloogia) perekonda liigitatud bakteri tuberkuloosi mükobakteri tapmisel[3] ja takistada HeLa rakuliini uuringutes ja hiirte eksperimentaalse nakatamise kohaselt klamüüdianakkuse levikut[4].
Selle molekuli füsioloogiline roll pole teada. Arvatakse, et P2X7 osaleb ATP vahendatud tsütotoksilises raku surmas, immuun- ja põletikureaktsioonides.[5]
