Benueren ibaiadar nagusia Mayo Kébbi da, ur goraldietan, Logoneren bitartez, Txad aintzirarekin lotzen duena. Mayo Kébbi ibaiaren elkargunetik behera, Benue urte osoan nabigagarria da 0,75 metro baino gutxiagoko sakonera duten ontzientzat, eta ur goraldi sasoian ontzi handiagoentzat. Hori dela eta, garrantzi handia du merkataritza-produktuen garraioan.[2]
