Peter Porter

Peter Neville Frederick Porter (Brisbane, 16 febbraio 1929 – Londra, 23 aprile 2010^[1]) è stato un poeta australiano.

Biografia

Trasferitosi a Londra nel 1951, fu dapprima autore satirico, poi psicologico e introspettivo. Tra le sue più celebri opere si ricordano Once bitten, twice bitten (1961), Poems ancient and modern (1964), Preaching to the converted (1972), The cost of seriousness (1978), The chair of Babel (1992) e il più moderno Afterburner (2004).
