Visual Concepts

Visual Concepts(ビジュアル・コンセプト)とはカリフォルニア州に拠点を置くコンピュータゲーム開発会社である。スポーツゲームのTake-Two Interactiveの2Kシリーズを開発していることでよく知られている。今シリーズの成功後、同社はセガに拾い上げられ、完全にセガが所有するスタジオとなった。一般的にはファーストパーティーと呼ばれる。しかしながら、セガは当時自分たちの内部スタジオと区別するために「1.5開発スタジオ」として設立ないしは取得した非内部スタジオとしていた。2005年1月にVisual Conceptsは完全子会社のen:Kush GamesとともにTake-Two Interactive社に売却された。Visual Conceptsの購入とともにTake-twoは新たなパブリッシングレーベル2K Gamesを設立した。^[1] 同社はおでかけレスターれれれのれ(^^;のような一風変わったタイトルを開発する企業として出発したが、現在開発にむける労力は主にバスケットボールや野球のようなスポーツゲームに集中させている。
