윌러드 리비

윌러드 프랭크 리비(영어: Willard Frank Libby, 1908년 12월 17일 ~ 1980년 9월 8일)는 1949년 고고학과 고생물학의 대혁변을 일으킨 방사성 탄소 연대 측정법의 개발을 한 것으로 알려진 미국의 물리화학자이다. 이러한 프로세스를 개발한 팀에 대한 기여로 1960년에 노벨 화학상을 받았다.

1933년에 캘리포니아 대학교 버클리에서 박사 학위를 받았으며, 방사성 성분을 연구하였으며 미약한 자연방사능과 인공방사능을 측하기 위해 민감한 가이거 계수기를 개발하였다. 제2차 세계 대전 동안 그는 맨해튼 계획을 위해 컬럼비아 대학교의 SAM(Substitute Alloy Materials) 연구소에서 일하면서 농축 우라늄에 대한 기체확산법을 개발하였다.
