Nerija – siaura, sąnašinė sausumos juosta iš smėlio arba gargždo, žvirgždo, atitverianti lagūną ar limaną nuo jūros. Nerija susidaro susiklosčius sąnašoms, kurias suneša išilginės priekrantinės jūros srovės ir bangos. Tai tokios pačios srovės ir bangos, kurios sukelia dreifą.[1]
Nerijos gale paprastai būna sąsiauris, jungiantis įlanką su jūra. Nerija, sujungusi salą su žemynu ir pavertusi ją pusiasaliu, vadinama tombolu.[2]
Ilgiausia pasaulyje yra Arabato nerija (112 km),[3] įsiterpusi į Azovo jūrą.
Lietuvos teritorijoje nusidriekusi Kuršių nerija, šalimais – Aismarių nerija.
