അണുബാധ

അണുബാധ എന്നത് ഒരു ജീവിയുടെ ശരീരത്തിലെ കലകളിലേക്കുള്ള രോഗകാരികളുടെ കടന്നുകയറ്റമാണ്. ഈ രോഗകാരികളുടെ പെരുകലും അവ പുറപ്പെടുവിക്കുന്ന വിഷവസ്തുക്കൾക്കെതിരെയുള്ള ആതിഥേയകോശങ്ങളുടെ പ്രതികരണവും ഇവിടെ സംഭവിക്കുന്നു.^[1] അണുബാധ മൂലം ഉണ്ടാകുന്ന രോഗത്തേയാണ് പകർച്ചവ്യാധി എന്നു പറയുന്നത്.

അണുബാധ ഉണ്ടാക്കുന്ന രോഗകാരികളിൽ താഴെ പറയുന്നവ ഉൾപ്പെടുന്നു:

• വൈറസുകളും അനുബന്ധ രോഗകാരികളായ വൈറോയിഡുകളും
• ബാക്ടീരിയ
• പൂപ്പലിനെ ഇനിപ്പറയുന്നവയായി തരംതിരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു:
  • കാൻഡിഡ പോലുള്ള യീസ്റ്റുകൾ, ഫിലമെന്റസ് പൂപ്പലുകളായ <i id="mwKA">അസ്‌പെർജില്ലസ്</i>, ന്യൂമോസിസ്റ്റിസ് സ്പീഷീസുകൾ, മനുഷ്യരിൽ ചർമ്മത്തിനും മറ്റ് ഉപരിപ്ലവ ഘടനകൾക്കും അണുബാധയുണ്ടാക്കുന്ന ഒരു കൂട്ടം ജീവികളായ ഡെർമറ്റോഫൈറ്റുകൾ എന്നിവ ഉൾപ്പെടുന്ന അസ്കോമൈക്കോട്ട. ^[2]
  • മനുഷ്യനെ ബാധിക്കുന്ന ക്രിപ്റ്റോകോക്കസ് ജീനസ് ഉൾപ്പെടുന്ന ബസീഡിയോമൈക്കോട്ട. ^[3]
• പ്രിയോണുകൾ (അവ വിഷവസ്തുക്കളെ സ്രവിക്കുന്നില്ലെങ്കിലും)
• പരാദങ്ങളെ സാധാരണയായി ഇത്തരത്തിലാണ് തരംതിരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു: ^[4]
  • ഏകകോശജീവികൾ (ഉദാ: മലേറിയ, ടോക്സോപ്ലാസ്മ, ബാബേസിയ )
  • പരാദങ്ങളായ റൗണ്ട്വേമുകൾ, പിന്വേമുകൾ, ടേപ്പ് വേമുകൾ (സെസ്റ്റോഡകൾ), ഫ്ലൂക്കുകൾ (ഷീസ്റ്റോസോമിയാസിസിനു കാരണമാകുന്ന ട്രെമറ്റോഡുകൾ പോലെയുള്ളവ) എന്നിവ ഉൾപ്പെടുന്ന മാക്രോപാരസൈറ്റുകൾ^[5]
• ആർത്രോപോഡുകളായ പട്ടുണ്ണി, മൈറ്റുകൾ, ചെള്ളുകൾ, പേൻ എന്നിവയും മനുഷ്യരോഗങ്ങൾക്ക് കാരണമാകും, ഇത് ആശയപരമായി അണുബാധയ്ക്ക് സമാനമാണ്, എന്നാൽ ഈ മാക്രോപാരസൈറ്റുകൾ മനുഷ്യനേയോ മൃഗത്തേയോ ബാധിക്കുന്നതിനെ സാധാരണയായി ഇൻഫസ്റ്റേഷൻ എന്നാണ് വിളിക്കുന്നു. (മാക്രോപാരസൈറ്റുകളായ ഹെൽമിന്തുകൾ പരത്തുന്ന രോഗങ്ങളെ ചിലപ്പോൾ ഇൻഫസ്റ്റേഷൻ എന്നു വിളിക്കാറുണ്ട്.)
