Vadsø kommune er ein kommune aust i Finnmark fylke. Kommunen grensar i nord til Båtsfjord, i nordaust til Vardø, i vest til Tana og Nesseby, og møter Berlevåg i eitt punkt i nordvest. Sør for Varangerfjorden ligg Sør-Varanger kommune. I tillegg til byen Vadsø, ligg tettstaden Vestre Jakobselv i Vadsø kommune. Det meste av vidda innanfor kysten er verna som Varangerhalvøya nasjonalpark. Det høgste punktet i kommunen er Skipskjølen (633,8 moh.), som også dannar grensepunkt mot Båtsfjord kommune.

Vadsø var administrasjonsenter for det tidlegare Finnmark fylke. Fylkeshuset i Finnmark låg i kommunen.[1]
