Liam Genockey

Liam Genockey (fødd 12. august 1948) er ein irsk trommeslagar. Genockey var fødd i Dublin men budde i 1960-åra i Plymouth i Storbritannia, der han spelte med lokale, halvprofesjonelle grupper. Tidleg i 1970-åra spelte han med rockebandet Adolphus Rebirth. Han var eit av banda som danna jazz-fusion og afroprog-bandet ZZebra, og vart seinare med i bandet Gillan i lag med John McCoy.

Han spelte så i Amalgam, skipa i 1976 av Trevor Watts. Watts spelte alt frå frijazz, elektronisk, jazz-rock, spacejazz og folkrock. Watts starta seinare det 10 mann store Moiré Music Ensemble med Genockey og Peter Knight, som tidlegare var medlem i Steeleye Span.

Han vart med Steeleye Span i 1989 og spelte på to studioalbum med dei, Tempted and Tried og Time, i tillegg til to konsertalbum, Tonight's the Night...Live og The Collection in Concert. I 2001 var han med på innspelinga av Present--The Very Best of Steeleye Span, og har vore med bandet sidan den gong.
