Askim, også kalt Askimbyen, er en by og administrasjonssenteret i Indre Østfold kommune i Østfold. Tettstedet hadde 15 089[1] innbyggere per 1. januar 2023. Tettstedet fikk ved kommunalt egenvedtak bystatus i 1996.[2][3]

Sammen med Mysen er Askimbyen viktigste handels- og servicesenter i Indre Østfold. Askimbyen er et viktig trafikknutepunkt. E18 Oslo-Stockholm går gjennom tettstedet og herfra går likeledes fylkesveier nordover til Trøgstad (Fv. 115) og sørover til Vamma og Skiptvet (Fv. 115). Askim stasjon har lokaltogforbindelse til Oslo ((Rakkestad)-Mysen-Oslo S).
Byen har et aktivt kulturhus bygget i funkisstil som ble renovert for noen år siden.[når?] Askim har to kinosaler, der den ene er en sertifisert THX-kino. Badelandet Østfoldbadet befinner seg sentralt i byen, og inngangspartiet er koblet sammen med Kulturhuset i et stiltilpasset nybygg.
