Central Region er en av Ghanas ti administrative regioner. Den grenser til Ashanti og Eastern Region i nord, Western Region i vest, Greater Accra i øst og Atlanterhavet i sør. Cape Coast er regionens administrasjonshovedstad. Regionen hadde 2 201 863 innbyggere ved folketellingen i 2010.[1]

Regionen er et av områdene som først kom i kontakt med europeerne. Portugiserne etablerte fortet Elmina i 1482, som den første faste europeiske basen i Afrika sør for Sahara. Senere reiste flere europeiske makter fort langs kysten i regionen, med bare noen få kilometers avstand.
