Macropus is a marsupial genus in the faimily Macropodidae. It haes 13 species, that are dealt intae 3 subgenera. The genus includes aw kangaroos, wallaroos an several species o wallaby. Macropus comes frae the Ancient Greek wirds makros ("muckle") an pous ("fit"). 11 extinct species in this genus ar kent. The type species is the Eastren Grey Kangaroo.
