Achern (IPA: [ˈaxəʁn]) is a city in Western Baden-Württemberg, Germany. It is about 18 kilometres (11 miles) southwest of Baden-Baden and 19 kilometres (12 miles) northeast of Offenburg. Achern is the fourth largest city in the county of Ortenau (Ortenaukreis), after Offenburg, Lahr / Black Forest and Kehl.
