Limoux (Occitan: Limós) is a French commune, a subprefecture in the Aude department. It is in the Occitanie region. It is also the capital of the arrondissement of Limoux.

Limoux is along the Aude river and is about 30 km (19 mi) due south of Carcassonne.

Limoux is a subprefecture of the Aude department, the capital of the arrondissement of Limoux and the administrative centre (French: chef-lieu) of the canton La Région Limouxine, with 19,978 inhabitants (2014).
It is part of the intercommunality Le Limouxin (French: Communauté de communes du Limouxin).
