The Lula 2022 presidential campaign became official on 21 July 2022 in São Paulo when former President of Brazil Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva announced his candidacy for the 2022 election.[1]

Lula da Silva's running mate is former Governor of São Paulo Geraldo Alckmin.[2]
Lula da Silva was first elected in 2002 for the first term and re-elected in 2006 for the second term.
His campaign has been supported by former Presidents Fernando Henrique Cardoso and Dilma Rousseff, former 2022 candidates Ciro Gomes and Simone Tebet, Mayor of Rio de Janeiro Eduardo Paes and former Senator Marina Silva.
