Hanbali (Arabic: حَنْبَلَى ) is one of the four schools (madhhabs) of fiqh, or religious law, of Sunni Islam. It was started by Ahmad ibn Hanbal; his understanding of Islam has a lot of influence in Saudi Arabia.

Creed
The creed of the Hanbali madhab is generally based upon the Athari school of aqeedah. The terms Hanbali aqeedah and Athari aqeedah are used interchangably by people of knowledge.[1] The creed of the Hanabilah tend towards Tafwid, the belief that the kayf (how) is left to Allah.[2]
