James Patrick Green (born May 3, 1950) is an American prelate of the Catholic Church. From 2006 to 2022, he was apostolic nuncio to many Scandinavian countries from 2017 to 2022.
Green is known for officially making Robert F. Prevost, who would later become Pope Leo XIV at the 2025 papal conclave, a bishop.[1]
Pope Francis accepted his resignation from his role as nuncio on April 30, 2022.[2]
