James Edward "'Jim"' McGreevey (born August 6, 1957) is an American politician and lawyer. He was the 52nd Governor of New Jersey from 2002 to 2004. In 2004, he said that he was gay.[1] He resigned as governor after he said he had an affair with a male employee. He was the first openly gay governor of any state in the history of the United States.
