Christopher Samuel "Kit" Bond (March 6, 1939 – May 13, 2025) was an American politician. He was the United States Senator from Missouri and a member of the Republican Party. Before his career in the U.S. Senate, Bond served two non-consecutive terms as Governor of Missouri, from 1973 to 1977 and from 1981 to 1985. He was previously State Auditor of Missouri from 1971 to 1973.[1]

Bond was born on March 6, 1939 in St. Louis, Missouri.[1] In 1960 he graduated from Princeton University.[2] He received a law degree from the University of Virginia School of Law.[2] He was married to Linda Bond.[2]
Bond died in St. Louis on May 13, 2025, at the age of 86.[3][4]
