Mrinal Sen (also spelled Mrinal Shen, 14 May 1923 30 December 2018) was an Indian filmmaker. He was born in Kolkata. He was thought to be one of the greatest ambassadors of Indian parallel cinema on the global stage.[1] His works was known for its artistic depiction of social reality.
