The Netherlands has participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 65 times since its debut in 1956. AVROTROS is the Dutch broadcaster. The Netherlands had missed only two contests: 1985, 1991, 1995 and 2002.
The Netherlands' five victories was achieved with the following songs:

The Netherlands has hosted the contest five times, two times in The Hague (1976, 1980), one time in Amsterdam (1970), one time in Hilversum (1958) and one time in Rotterdam (2021).
The Netherlands was scheduled to host the Eurovision Song Contest 2020 in Rotterdam, but it was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.[4]
