Rottweil (German: [ˈʁɔtvaɪl] (
listen)) is the oldest town in the German state of Baden-Württemberg.[2] It has almost 25,000 inhabitants as of 2015.
The Rottweiler dog breed is named after this town.
In 2015, the company ThyssenKrupp started to build a 807-foot (246 m) tower for $45 million in Rottweil.[3] The tower was completed in 2017. It was the tallest elevator test tower in the world when it was finished.[4]
