Anthony Nese (born August 6, 1985) is an American professional wrestler. He currently wrestles for All Elite Wrestling (AEW) and in their sister promotion Ring of Honor (ROH) under the name Tony Nese.

Nese has also made appearances in Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA), Dragon Gate USA (DGUSA), and the WWE.

Nese has won many championship throughout his career. In DG USA, he was a one-time Open the United Gate Champion and in WWE, he was a one-time WWE Cruiserweight Championship.

Professional wrestling career

All Elite Wrestling / Ring of Honor

on the November 30, 2021 episode of Dark, Nese made his debut for All Elite Wrestling (AEW) in a victory against D'Marceo James.[1] On the December 3 episode of Rampage, Nese challenged Sammy Guevara for the AEW TNT Championship but was unsuccessful.[2] Before the show, AEW owner Tony Khan announced that Nese had signed a contract to become a member of the AEW roster.[3]

On the June 28, 2022 episode of Dark, Nese challenged Wheeler Yuta for the ROH Pure Championship but was unsuccessful.[4] On the September 7 episode of Dynamite, Nese challenged Wardlow for the AEW TNT Championship but lost the match.[5] On the October 21 episode of Rampage, Nese teamed with Josh Woods as a part of The Varsity Athletes. They challenged The Acclaimed (Max Caster and Anthony Bowens) for the AEW World Tag Team Championships but were unsuccessful.[6]

At Double or Nothing, Nese participated in the 21-man Blackjack Battle Royal for the AEW International Championship but Orange Cassidy retained.[7] At AEW Battle Of The Belts VIII, Nese challenged Samoa Joe for the ROH World Television Championship but was unsuccessful.[8]
