降钙素(英语:Calcitonin,又译为抑钙激素)是一种含有32个氨基酸的直线型多肽激素,在人体里是由甲状腺滤泡旁细胞(parafollicular cells,又称C细胞)制造。在鱼类爬虫类鸟类哺乳类身上都有发现这种激素。主要功能是降低血钙。但降钙素对于调节人体血液中钙离子(Ca2+)的恒定通常并没有很显著的重要性。[2]

主要作用

降钙素影响了钙离子和磷酸盐的代谢过程,其功能多半是拮抗副甲状腺素的作用。[3]

降钙素主要透过下列四种方式降低血钙浓度:

  1. 抑制小肠对于钙离子的吸收。[4]
  2. 抑制蚀骨细胞英语osteoclast(Osteoclast),减少骨骼中的钙离子流失到血液中。[5]
  3. 抑制肾小管对磷酸根的再吸收作用。[6]
  4. 抑制肾小管对钙离子的再吸收作用,增加钙离子自尿液流失。[6]
