Scholastic

Modi has a policy of not accepting honorary degrees. He had refused to accept honorary doctorate from Southern University that was offered to him in 2014, and honorary Doctor of Law from Banaras Hindu University in 2016. Earlier, he had also turned down honorary doctorates offered to him by several universities during his tenure as the Chief Minister of Gujarat. ^[33][34]
