WWE is an American professional wrestling promotion based in Stamford, Connecticut, and the world's largest promotion. As with other professional wrestling promotions, WWE promotes several championships, with titleholders typically determined via the results of professional wrestling matches within scripted storylines. On rare occasions, a championship may be awarded to or stripped from a wrestler outside of a match, though these occurrences typically also fall within scripted storylines.[a]

WWE currently divides its roster between four brands, and there is also a non-exclusive developmental program. Most wrestlers perform exclusively on a single brand (with select exemptions). WWE's two primary brands are Raw and SmackDown, collectively referred to as the main roster. NXT serves as the primary developmental brand (although it was considered a third main brand from 2019 to 2021),[1] with Evolve geared towards WWE Performance Center trainees, while WWE ID is to support wrestlers on the independent circuit.
There are currently 23 championships in WWE divided across Raw, SmackDown, NXT, Evolve, and WWE ID. Raw and SmackDown each have a primary, secondary, and tag team championship for male wrestlers and a primary and secondary championship for female wrestlers. NXT features a primary, a secondary, two specialty, and a tag team championship for male wrestlers, with a primary, a secondary, and a specialty championship for female wrestlers. There is one women's tag team championship in the company, and it is shared between Raw, SmackDown, and NXT. Evolve and WWE ID each feature one championship for their respective men's and women's divisions.
As of September 2, 2025, among the four current brands and the non-exclusive developmental program, 25 wrestlers officially hold championships (including one double champion) with one title vacant. This list includes the number of times the wrestler has held the title, the date and location of the win, and a description of the match victory.

Perspective
The American professional wrestling promotion WWE currently divides its roster into what the company refers to as brands. The two main brands that the company promotes are Raw and SmackDown, collectively referred to as the main roster. Wrestlers assigned to the two main brands exclusively perform on the respective weekly television programs, Monday Night Raw and Friday Night SmackDown, albeit with some exceptions. The Raw brand also has a supplementary online streaming program called Main Event. Monthly pay-per-view and livestreaming events, as well as the non-televised WWE Live shows, feature wrestlers from both brands.
WWE has two developmental brands. The primary developmental brand is NXT, which is where most WWE wrestlers perform prior to being promoted to the main roster.[b] Wrestlers assigned to NXT appear on the brand's eponymous weekly television program and major livestreaming events that are held periodically throughout the year. Evolve is a newer developmental brand, which features mostly newer wrestlers that are still in training at the WWE Performance Center. These wrestlers appear on the weekly Evolve program. Furthermore, there is WWE Independent Development (ID), a developmental program to support wrestlers on the independent circuit and provide a pathway to potentially joining WWE. These wrestlers may also appear on Evolve.
Main roster
For the men's division, both Raw and SmackDown feature a primary, secondary, and tag team championship, while for the women's division, each brand has a primary and secondary championship. There is also a women's tag team championship shared between both brands as well as NXT.
Men
At the top of WWE's championship hierarchy for male wrestlers are the World Heavyweight Championship on Raw and the Undisputed WWE Championship on SmackDown—regarded as world heavyweight championships. The World Heavyweight Championship is held by record-tying two-time champion Seth Rollins. He defeated CM Punk in his Money in the Bank cash-in match on Night 1 of SummerSlam on August 2, 2025, right after Punk had defeated Gunther for the title.[2] The Undisputed WWE Championship is held by two-time champion Cody Rhodes, who defeated John Cena in a street fight on Night 2 of SummerSlam on August 3, 2025.[3]
Secondary titles for male wrestlers include the Intercontinental Championship on Raw and the United States Championship on SmackDown. The Intercontinental Championship is held by first-time champion Dominik Mysterio. He defeated previous champion Bron Breakker, Penta, and Finn Bálor, who he pinned, in a fatal four-way match on Night 2 of WrestleMania 41 on April 20, 2025.[4] The United States Championship is held by first-time champion Sami Zayn, who defeated Solo Sikoa on SmackDown on August 29, 2025.[5]
Tag team titles for male wrestlers include the World Tag Team Championship on Raw and the WWE Tag Team Championship on SmackDown—regarded as world tag team championships. The World Tag Team Championship is held by The Judgment Day (Finn Bálor and JD McDonagh), who are in their second reign as a team, while individually, it is Bálor's fourth reign and McDonagh's second reign, and it is the overall fourth reign for The Judgment Day stable. They defeated The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods) on Raw on June 30, 2025.[6] The WWE Tag Team Championship is held by first-time champions The Wyatt Sick6 (Dexter Lumis and Joe Gacy). They defeated The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford) on SmackDown on July 11, 2025.[7]
Women
At the top of WWE's championship hierarchy for female wrestlers are the Women's World Championship on Raw and the WWE Women's Championship on SmackDown—regarded as women's world championships. The Women's World Championship is vacant as previous champion Naomi relinquished the title on the August 18, 2025, episode of Raw due to going on maternity leave.[8] The WWE Women's Championship is held by first-time champion Tiffany Stratton, who defeated Nia Jax in her Money in the Bank cash-in match on SmackDown on January 3, 2025.[9]
The secondary titles for female wrestlers are the Women's Intercontinental Championship on Raw and the Women's United States Championship on SmackDown. The Women's Intercontinental Championship is held by first-time champion Becky Lynch. She defeated Lyra Valkyria in a Last Chance match at Money in the Bank on June 7, 2025. Had Lynch lost, she would have never been able to challenge for the title again for as long as Valkyria was champion, but since she won, Valkyria had to raise Lynch's hand and acknowledge her as the better woman.[10] The Women's United States Championship is held by first-time champion Giulia. She defeated Zelina Vega on SmackDown on June 27, 2025.[11]
The tag team title for female wrestlers is the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship, which is shared between Raw, SmackDown, and NXT. It is held by Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair from SmackDown, who are in their first reign as a team, while individually, it is Bliss's fourth reign and Flair's second. They defeated Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez on Night 1 of SummerSlam on August 2, 2025.[12]
Developmental
For the men's division, NXT features a primary, a secondary, two specialty, and a tag team championship, while the women's division has a primary, a secondary, and a specialty championship. There is also a women's tag team championship shared with Raw and SmackDown (listed above).
Both Evolve and WWE ID each feature one championship for their respective men's and women's divisions.
NXT
Men
The top title for male wrestlers is the NXT Championship. It is held by first-time champion Oba Femi, who defeated Trick Williams in a triple threat match also involving Eddy Thorpe at NXT: New Year's Evil on January 7, 2025.[13]
The secondary title for male wrestlers is the NXT North American Championship. It is held by first-time champion Ethan Page, who defeated Ricky Saints on NXT on May 27, 2025. [14]
There are two specialty championships for men: the NXT Heritage Cup and the WWE Speed Championship. The Heritage Cup has a stipulation in which all matches are contested under British Rounds Rules, while matches for the Speed Championship have a five-minute time limit. The Heritage Cup is held by first-time champion Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo, who defeated Tony D'Angelo by 2–1 to win the vacant title on NXT on June 24, 2025; previous champion Noam Dar relinquished the title due to injury.[15] The Speed Championship is held by first-time champion El Grande Americano from Raw. He defeated Dragon Lee, also from Raw, during the Speed tapings on May 5, 2025,[16] which aired on tape delay on May 7.[17] Prior to August 24, 2025, the Speed Championship was exclusively defended on the online program Speed and shared with Raw and SmackDown.[18]
The men's tag team title is the NXT Tag Team Championship. It is held by DarkState (Dion Lennox and Osiris Griffin), who are in their first reign, both as a team and individually. They won the title by defeating previous champions Hank and Tank (Hank Walker and Tank Ledger) at Heatwave on August 24, 2025. [19]
Women
The top title for female wrestlers is the NXT Women's Championship. It is held by first-time champion Jacy Jayne, who defeated Stephanie Vaquer on NXT on May 27, 2025.[20]
The secondary women's title is the NXT Women's North American Championship. It is held by first-time champion Sol Ruca, who defeated Izzi Dame, Kelani Jordan, Lola Vice, Thea Hail, and Zaria in a six-woman ladder match to win the vacant championship at Stand & Deliver on April 19, 2025; previous champion Stephanie Vaquer relinquished the title due to also holding the NXT Women's Championship.[21]
The specialty title is the WWE Women's Speed Championship in which matches have a five-minute time limit. It held by first-time champion Sol Ruca, who defeated SmackDown's Candice LeRae during the Speed tapings on April 11, 2025,[22] which aired on tape delay on April 16.[23] Prior to August 24, 2025, the Women's Speed Championship was exclusively defended on the online program Speed and shared with Raw and SmackDown.[18]
Evolve
While primarily contested between wrestlers on the Evolve brand, wrestlers in the WWE ID program are also eligible to challenge for the men's and women's Evolve titles.
The men's WWE Evolve Championship is held by Jackson Drake. He defeated Keanu Carver, Edris Enofe, and Sean Legacy, who Drake last eliminated, in a fatal four-way elimination match to become the inaugural champion during the Evolve tapings on April 25, 2025,[24] which aired on tape delay on June 4, 2025.[25]
The WWE Evolve Women's Championship is held by Kali Armstrong. She defeated Wendy Choo, Kendal Grey, and Kylie Rae, who Armstrong last eliminated, in a fatal four-way elimination match to become the inaugural champion during the Evolve tapings on April 25, 2025,[26] which aired on tape delay on May 28, 2025.[27]
WWE ID
Unlike WWE's other championships, which are exclusively defended on WWE's programming, the men's and women's WWE ID titles are exclusively defended across partner independent promotions. Additionally, all independent wrestlers are eligible to challenge for the titles and if a non-WWE ID wrestler were to win either, they receive a WWE ID contract.[28]
The men's WWE ID Championship is held by Cappuccino Jones. He defeated Jack Cartwheel in a tournament final to become the inaugural champion at Game Changer Wrestling's event, The ID Showcase, on August 1, 2025.[29]
The WWE Women's ID Championship is held by Kylie Rae. She defeated Zara Zakher and Zayda Steel in a triple threat match tournament final to become the inaugural champion at Game Changer Wrestling's event, The ID Showcase, on August 1, 2025.[30]

Notes
- In some cases, a wrestler may be stripped of a title due to a legitimate injury or other real-world circumstance. On such occasions, the storyline may be adapted around real-world events or may continue without referencing them.
- Some new WWE wrestlers may be immediately assigned to the main roster based on their prior experience and how well they were known outside the company (e.g., AJ Styles).
