Initial "ka-" is shared with other demonstratives kari (“this”), kani (“this”) and kadto (“that”). Related to dinha (“there”), nganha (“hither”), anaa (“there be”), and anha (“to go”), in a similar pattern with other Cebuano demonstrative pronouns. Compare Hiligaynon ina, Tagalog iyan.
