Cognate with Central Atlas Tamazight ⵜⴰⴳⵯⵓⵜⵜ (tagʷutt, “fog”), Tarifit tayyut (“fog, mist”), and Senhaja de Srair ṯaggʷuṯ, ṯawweṯ (“fog”), Tachawit ayu (“fog”), Kabyle agu (“fog”), and Chenoua hawt (“fog”).
