Dave Torbert

Dave Torbert (7. juni 1948–7. desember 1982) var ein USA-amerikansk bassist frå San Francisco Bay Area, mest kjend for arbeidet sitt med Grateful Dead og New Riders of the Purple Sage.^[1] Han spelte bass i den sistnemnde gruppa, der han erstatta Phil Lesh under innspelinga for det første albumet deira.^[2] Han spelte òg på «Box of Rain», ein song frå American Beauty,^[3] og på «Greatest Story Ever Told» på Bob Weir-albumet Ace. I tillegg var han i lag med Matthew Kelly med å skipe bandet Kingfish.^[4][5][6] Torbert døydde av eit hjarteinfarkt i 1982.
