Rockferry is the debut studio album by the Welsh singer Duffy. It was released on 3 March 2008 in the United Kingdom by A&M Records and in the United States by Mercury Records. The album was number 1 in several countries including the UK Albums Chart, spending 5 non-consecutive weeks at number 1. It was the biggest selling album of 2008 in the UK and the fourth best-selling album worldwide.

Background
It took Duffy four years to record the album, and she worked with several producers and writers including Bernard Butler, Steve Booker, Jimmy Hogarth and Eg White. The album is primarily a soul recording musically and is made up of ballads, torch songs, and up tempo songs in the style of 1960s pop music.
Singles
"Rockferry" was released as the lead single from the album on 3 December 2007 in the United Kingdom. It was originally released as a limited 7" vinyl before being made available for digital download. The song peaked at number 45 on the UK Singles Chart. "Mercy" was released as the second single from the album on 15 February 2008. It peaked at number 1 in the UK, Duffy became the first Welsh female artist to top the UK Singles Chart in 25 years, since Bonnie Tyler with "Total Eclipse of the Heart". It was also a chart success worldwide, reaching number 1 in Austria, Germany, Greece, the Netherlands, Norway, Ireland, Switzerland and Turkey, it was also top five in Belgium, Denmark, France, Italy, Japan, New Zealand, Romania, Spain and Sweden. "Warwick Avenue" was released as the third single from the album on 26 May 2008, peaking at number 3 on the UK Singles Chart. The forth single from the album, "Stepping Stone", was released on 1 September 2008, peaking at number 21 on the UK Singles Chart. "Rain on Your Parade" was released on 17 November 2008 as a single from the deluxe edition of the album, peaking at number 15 on the UK Singles Chart.
