Els balitòrids (Balitoridae) són una família d'uns cent espècies de peixos d'aigua dolça teleostis pertanyent a l'ordre dels cipriniformes.[1]






Cap de les espècies assoleix més de 35 cm.[2] Són peixos d'Euràsia.[2] Algunes espècies són populars arreu del món com a peixos d'aquari.[3]
