A transit hotel is a short-stay hotel located within the transit zone of international airports, allowing passengers with extended layovers (typically a minimum of six hours) to rest while awaiting their next flight. These hotels are situated within the airside security/passport checkpoints, close to airport terminals, providing convenient access for travelers.^[1]

No entry visa into the country is required to stay at a transit hotel,^[1] although some countries may require a transit visa.^{[example needed]}
