柏原正樹

柏原 正樹（かしわら まさき、1947年〈昭和22年〉1月30日 - ）は、日本の数学者。京都大学名誉教授。学位は理学博士（京都大学・1974年）。専門は代数解析学、表現論。

東京大学理学部数学科卒。京都大学にて博士号取得。京都大学数理解析研究所所長、国際数学連合副総裁を歴任。2025年、「代数解析及び表現論への根本的な貢献、特にD-加群理論の展開と結晶グラフの発見」により日本人初となるアーベル賞受賞した。

来歴

茨城県結城市生まれ^[1]。後に水戸市に転居。大阪府池田市出身。東大在学中に数学者、佐藤幹夫に認められる。佐藤が京都大学数理解析研究所に移るのに伴い京大へ移籍。佐藤幹夫の弟子として、佐藤の代数解析学をともに建設、発展に尽力している。

主な業績として超局所解析学、極大過剰決定系の理論、量子群の結晶基底、大域基底の理論、D-加群、柏原–Malgrange の V-filtration など。Helgason 予想、Lusztig 予想の解決に貢献。Kazhdan–Lusztig 予想、一般次元 Riemann–Hilbert 問題（ヒルベルトの第21問題の一般化、特異点問題も含んだ形で）の解決、層Cにおける佐藤定理への貢献。

2025年、日本人として初めてアーベル賞を受賞。アーベル賞は21世紀に新しく創設されたため日本での知名度はまだ低いが、「数学界のノーベル賞」とも呼ばれる国際的な権威のある賞である。
